Publication ethics
Publication ethics
The editorial team of the journal acts on the basis of ethical principles and takes measures against the abuse of publications of any nature. If violations are found, editors may reject a paper for publication. Editors are committed to prevent conflicts of interest between the parties involved in the review process. Review of the paper cannot be assigned to co-authors or supervisors of the submitted article.
Published materials should not be construed to reflect the opinion of the Editorial Board or the publisher.
Guidelines for authors
Authors of the paper should present an accurate account of the work performed as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Underlying data should be represented accurately in the paper. In case an error or inconsistency is detected, the author should to notify the editors. References should be made in accordance with the standards accepted for a scientific paper. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
Warranty
The authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works, that the material has not been published anywhere else and has not been considered for publication. All authors submitting their works acknowledge that they have disclosed all actual or potential conflicts of interest regarding authorship and publication of the work and will indemnify the publisher against any breach of such warranty.
When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or for its elimination or correction.
Permission to re-use content
Authors should receive clear written permission to use any content that has not been created by them, if required by publication ethics.
The editors will not allow publication of articles with the content that the author does not have the right to use. The rights required are:
- non-exclusive rights to reproduce the material in the article;
- print and electronic rights;
- rights to use the material for the life of the work, i.e. there should be no time restrictions on the re-use of material.
Reproduction of tables, figures or excerpts from another source is allowed if the author indicates the source in the text and refers to the source in the reference list. If the source is subject to any changes, the author bears full responsibility for it.
Publishing policies do not allow
- Using someone else's research or part of it without crediting the source
- inaccurate reproduction or paraphrasing of someone else’s research, changes in one or more sentences in the text, rearrangement without observing proper publication standards, verbatim reproduction and copying;
- Drawing information or content from the work of another author (figure, table, drawing or paragraph without a link, references and / or quotes) without acknowledging the source or indicating the source
- plagiarism
- Authors should sign a copyright form stating that their work has not been previously published. If any part of the work has been previously published in another scientific publication, the author should cite his previous work and indicate how the subsequent work differs from the results and conclusions of the previous publication. Verbatim copying or paraphrasing of one's own work is not accepted.
- Materials prepared by the author/authors related to the submitted article, or materials and reports of conferences and seminars should be included in the list of references.
Review of accusations of plagiarism
Editors should adhere to academic guidelines and ethics, protect copyrights and take plagiarism seriously. An allegation of plagiarism could have its impact on a researcher’s career. In such cases, a special system is used to deal with alleged cases of plagiarism.
Plagiarism in any form (presenting someone else's work or ideas from another source as your own, by incorporating it into your work, copying, paraphrasing parts of someone else's work without reference to the author), etc.) constitutes unethical publishing behaviour and is unacceptable.
Manuscripts are screened for plagiarism with the help of eTXT (https://www.etxt.ru/antiplagiat/) or Advego (https://advego.com/antiplagiat/#plagiatus-programma-proverki-unikalnosti) applications.
To ensure an unbiased approach, the editors of the "Russian Language in Armenia" scientific and methodological journal thoroughly investigate each case and study arguments of all parties. Before undertaking further measures, the editors try to get more accurate information from the original author or copyright holder. The editor’s decision is unbiased, objective, and not influenced by other third parties.
The editors have a full right to ignore cases of alleged plagiarism, if the complainant presents false individual information (e.g., introduces himself with a nickname) or acts in an inappropriate or threatening manner.
Editors are not obliged to discuss cases of alleged plagiarism with third parties.
