The article is devoted to the analysis of textbooks of the Russianlanguageforsecondaryschools in Armenia from theperspective of the passage of phraseological units.Thefocusis on the role of phraseological units in the process of formingstudents' linguisticcompetenceandtheirimportanceforteachingRussianatdifferentstages of schooleducation.Theanalysiscoverstextbooksfromgrades2to9. It is revealedthatat the initialstages of learning, studentsencounterphraseological units mainlyin the texts of works of art,whereasinhighschool the presentation of phraseological units becomesmorestructured,accompanied by exercisesforinterpretationanduseincontext.
