In addition to lexico-semantic processes in the language of science, linguists note special phenomena peculiar only to terminology. In a term, with the constancy of the external side of the linguistic sign, it is possible to change the structure of the concept reflected in the definition. This happens in the context of the evolution of the concept, its formation at different stages of the development of scientific knowledge. In the language of science, there is no consensus on the essence of the term. There are many contradictory points of view on the linguistic nature of the term. However, all linguists agree that the terms differ in many ways from other words in the literary language.
