THE MAIN ASPECTS OF LINGUISTIC PRAGMATICS

The article “The Main Aspects of Linguopragmatics” is devoted to the section of linguistics – linguopragmatics. It examines the speech act theories of John Austin, Paul Grice and John Searle. The article presents the characteristics of the linguopragmatic circumstance and analyzes its main components, reflecting the interrelation between linguopragmatics and speech act theory, examines the purposes of utterances, speech strategies, and the influence of context on understanding, considering language as a tool of action. The study places emphasis on the “sign–user–situation” linkage.
