Abstract

This study is devoted to a comparative analysis of Russian verbs of motion and their English and French counterparts. Particular attention is paid to the specific features of expressing direction, mode of movement and aspect in the Russian language, as well as to the ways in which these meanings are conveyed in the English and French linguistic systems. The paper examines differences in the grammatical category of aspect, as well as the role of prefixes in the formation of the meanings of verbs of motion. The comparative analysis.
