GAME IN TEACHING RUSSIAN AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Modern time imposes increased language requirements on the younger generation. Knowledge of a foreign language often becomes a necessity. This fact, the attractive prospect of travelling to other countries, the possibility of successful employment in the labor market, as well as other similar motives, encourage students to move forward in learning the languages of the world. Students should develop their oral and written expressions, reading and listening to text. In our opinion, the use of didactic language games also contributes to the improvement of these competencies. This is one of the options that can not only diversify the lesson for students, but also teach them a lot of new things in a non-violent way.
The article considers games as one of the main activities in human life, and at the same time emphasizes that the game is a freely chosen activity leading to a specific goal, and its value lies in itself. Its beneficial effect on the psychological and physical development of children, as well as on the lives of adolescents and adults, is undeniable. In the article we offer a varied collection of didactic games that are suitable for teaching Russian in elementary school, but mainly in basic school (7th, 8th, 9th grade) and in secondary school in Slovakia.
