Abstract

In his scientific and educational activities aimed at studying and promoting the works of Russian classics in the scientific and cultural space of Armenia, M.D. Amirkhanyan paid great attention to the works of I.S. Turgenev. The story «Spring Waters» arouses inexhaustible reader and research interest in the works of the Russian writer. The depth of its reading depends on the understanding of the micro-plots and reminiscences introduced by the author, which constitute the cultural context of the work. The article examines the role of artistic ekphrasis and literary plots and reminiscences associated with the creation of the image of Turgenev's heroines –Gemma Roselli and Maria Polozova.
